This photo, which was taken from a car at about 9:26 a.m., on Dec. 7, 1941, shows the destroyer moorings closest to the camera. At the center is the USS Dobbin, along with destroyers Hull, Dewey, Worden and MacDonough next to it. The USS Phelps, which is to the left of this group, was able to get underway on two boilers at about this time. The rest of the group at the right are the USS Whitney, with destroyers Conyngham, Reid, Tucker, Case and Selfridge alongside. The USS Solace is slightly visible at the far left.
