Raghav Vajjhala currently serves as the Acting Chief Technology Officer and Associate Chief Information Officer for IT Strategy and Technology Management at the Department of the Treasury. In this role, Raghav oversees the Department’s $3 billion Information Technology (IT) investment portfolio and key initiatives such as Treasury’s Data Center Consolidation effort. Raghav formerly worked at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) where he served as the Chief Enterprise Architect and led delivery of automated pension services to over 600,000 customers. Prior to his government service, Raghav was a program manager for Fort Point Partners, an e-commerce professional services firm, where he led installations for Martha Stewart OmniMedia, Kmart, Restoration Hardware, Finish Line, and Starbucks. Raghav started his career in IT at Procter & Gamble, building automated manufacturing design systems. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to his career in IT, Raghav served in the USAF, reaching the rank of Captain.
