Facility Chief Health Informatics Officer, Portland VA Medical Center

David Douglas, MD is the Chief Health Information Officer for VISN 20 and the chair of the My HealtheVet Clinical Advisory Board. Dr. Douglas is board certified in adult and geriatric psychiatry and has worked at the Portland VA Medical Center since 1988. He led the implementation of Secure Messaging between 2007 and 2012 and was also a pioneer in the effort to provide Veterans electronic access to their medical records. Dr. Douglas is a long distance runner and loves to hike in the beautiful pacific northwest.
