Agencies will be impacted by the Defense Department’s final version of its Organizational Conflict of Interest Rules, released by the Pentagon at the end of December.
Essentially the rules say you don’t want a contractor assessing vendors if, for example, they are bidding on a contract. The Defense Department over the holidays posted the final rule on organizational conflict of interest rules.
As Federal News Radio previously reported, the rules have been around for years, but new concerns about the number of contractors who support the government prompted a review.
Stan Soloway, president of the Professional Services Council, told the DorobekINSIDER how the information technology component to the rules will impact other agencies and industry.
