The Partnership for Public Service recently announced the finalists for the 2016 Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals.
Jessica Zomer was instrumental in helping the EPA pass legislation in 2015 that will bring about the removal of more than 0ne-third the current amount of chemical pollutants from U.S. waterways.
“She went beyond simply providing legal advice,” Neugeboren said. “She helped lead and crystalize the thinking of the agency. She’s a standout for her ability to obtain outcomes that wouldn’t otherwise happen.”
