Meet the 2014 Service to America Medal Finalists

Kittner_20140506_2723 The Partnership for Public Service named 33 finalists for its annual Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals (Sammies Awards) on May 6.

The awards recognize federal employees who went above and beyond in 2013 to help advance "the health, safety and well-being of Americans."

This year, 33 feds (including seven teams) were named finalists in seven categories.

Over the next few months, Federal News Radio will interview each finalist about their work.
