  • A number of agencies have made high-profile migrations to cloud platforms and the Obama administration has issued sweeping guidance mandating agencies identify and transition services and applications to host in the cloud. But more than half of the respondent say they don't even know what cloud computing is. The survey found a majority of respondents said they think the cloud is actually the "fluffy white thing" that floats around the sky.

  • The General Services Administration announced it's now offering cloud-based email services for federal agencies. GSA issued 20 blanket purchase agreements to 17 companies, which the agency said would help streamline the purchasing of cloud services across the government.
