Health IT is making its way into medical school classrooms – in the form of new degree programs. Starting this September, the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine will offer a new degree program in informatics. The one-year Master’s degree program will help students develop and apply information technology and evaluate how health IT can be used to contribute to the scientific field. In addition to med students, the school will also offer the program to clinicians and public health professionals.
