Less is more. That’s the theory of a new company that’s building and operating fully-integrated hospitals across Asia. Forget gourmet cafeterias, marble hallways and lavish lobbies. The company uses a no-frills business model, meaning small hospitals and no heart surgery facilities. But it takes advantage of fully-integrated electronic health records and IT systems that are built in-house. That means big savings on software and licensing, allowing the hospitals to focus on efficiency.
