Two distinct positives for new media applications are attracting Federal agencies: they are cheap (most are free) and they are easy to use. One such application – podcasting – is exposing all kinds of information to people who need it, whenever and wherever they want it.

The Defense Department is leveraging podcasting to provide health and medical information to personnel stationed all over the world. On this week’s program, Lt. Jennifer Craig Operations Officer for defense media activity in the emerging media directorate, and Roxy Merritt, director of community relations, public liaison, and new media policies for the office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for public affairs, talk about developing and presenting the “Dot Mil Docs” podcast series.
