Cybersecurity Update – Tune in weekdays at 30 minutes past the hour for the latest cybersecurity news on The Federal Drive with Tom Temin and Amy Morris (6-10 a.m.) and DorobekInsider with Chris Dorobek (3-5 p.m.). BBC reports that the analyst, Bradley Manning was detained during a tour of duty in Iraq. The WikiLeaks website posted a video which it says shows the U.S. military shooting civilians in Baghdad in 2007. A former hacker said he had turned in Manning out of concern for US national security. Manning is also accused of passing on more than 250,000 classified US diplomatic cables. The Pentagon has not disputed the authenticity of the video but has been working to trace the source. The Army says Manning was “placed in pre-trial confinement for allegedly releasing classified information”.
