Information Security Forum, a British based non-profit security research organization, says the network convergence has the potential to leave serious gaps in security. Gary Wood is a research consultant from the Information Security Forum. He looked at this security convergence and wrote the report on the convergence of these IP tools — and DorobekInsider asked him about the impact this has on security. The President’s cyber commission will release new recommendations for establishing a more skilled cyber workforce through a certification process. NextGov reports that the commission which started in 2007 is finalizing a drat report on ways to expand the pool of qualified job candidates. The recommendations will also ensure feds and contractors will receive the ongoing training needed to protect computer networks and systems. Karen Evans, commission member one of the commission members says, “We’re recommending that this be a continuous learning and demonstration of skill.”
