DHS awards celebrate unique cybersecurity ideas

Agency gave out seven awards as part of its National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign.

Crowdsourcing has been proven time and time again as an effective way to come up with more ideas — and better ideas.

The Department of Homeland Security is now using crowdsourcing to develop strategies for cybersecurity.

As part of the National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign, DHS has handed out seven awards to the winners of their 2010 Cyber Challenge.

Bruce McConnell, a senior councilor at DHS, told us how the Challenge got started.
