OMB plans to consolidate government data centers

OMB held a casting call to bring in data center experts from across the government.

The Office of Management and Budget held a casting call to bring in data center experts from across the government.

These specialists helped agencies shape their plans for reducing the more than 1,100 data centers across the government.

Vivek Kundra is the federal chief information officer. He tells our own Jason Miller about what OMB expects from these consolidation plans that are due August 30.
