General Dynamics has closed the deal with Fortress Technologies. Fortress is now part of General Dynamics C4 Systems. The Washington Business Journal reports that Fortress makes secure wireless and Internet access systems used by soldiers in the field. No word on how much General Dynamics paid for Fortress. The company announced the acquisition in June and says it will add to earnings beginning in 2012.
Defense contractor CACI is buying Paradigm Holdings, which is on a revenue upswing. The Washington Business Journal reports that Paradigm offers cybersecurity and software engineering, including network security monitoring, designing and upgrading data centers, and managing security and network operations centers. Paradigm already has several federal agencies as clients, including the Federal Aviation Administration, Defense Information Systems Agency, and the Departments of State, Energy, and Treasury. Paradigm’s revenue for calendar year 2011 is projected to be $55 million. No word on what CACI is paying for Paradigm. They expect to close the deal this fall.
