Half of systems infected with SpyEye botnet in US

The U.S. is host almost half of the systems infected with the botnet kownn as SpyEye, according to a new study from South Korea-based AhnLab.

The U.S. is host to almost half of the systems infected with the botnet kownn as SpyEye.

The SpyEye trojan is particularly complex. Some versions can steal credit card information after users log into to their bank’s website. Then it can hide how much of the money was stolen because it presents users with a fake balance, InfoSecurity reports.

The latest study was conducted by South Korea-based AhnLab.
