Five cyber tips for small businesses

Technology has made it a lot easier for small businesses to function over the past few years. But with that ease comes many cybersecurity concerns.

Technology has made it a lot easier for small businesses to function over the past few years. But with that ease comes many cybersecurity concerns.

Cyber experts offered Business News Daily five tips small business owners can use when making decisions about their security.

First – control admin access. Make sure only those who need it have full administrator privileges.

Second – layer security. Apply different security classifications to different activities and applications based on the risk.

Third – consider cyber insurance. While not right for every business, cyber policies have become more popular in the last few years.

Finally – secure the use of employees’ personal devices on the company’s network and have a procedure in place if a cyber attack does occur.
