Whether caused by a foreign government or a prankster, last week’s denial of service attack that hit the CIA is puzzling officials. NextGov reports, yesterday CIA investigators were still looking into the attack that took the CIA’s public web site offline and knocked out its unclassified e-mail system. The attack was confined to the CIA, according to the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team. No other agency reported feeling its effects. The CIA had its web site back up and running by Friday morning after the Thursday attack.
