Energy Department employees must understand that the hackers trying to breach their networks are not the stereotypical 20-something year-old in the basement. They are the nation states. And those adversaries are in the department’s networks already. Now, DoE will develop an enterprise cyber risk management framework that will be integrated across every office in the department. Micah Czigan, director of integrated joint cybersecurity operations at DoE, told Jason Miller on Federal Drive with Tom Temin how the agency will bring on non-IT contractors to develop the system.
