After GAO investigators bought guns online, they worked out a new blueprint for how ATF regulates such sales.
After a few members of Congress asked it to look into how the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives enforces laws concerning online gun sales, the Government Accountability Office went shopping. Auditors attempted to purchase several guns online. They were successful. Seto Bagdoyan, GAO’s Director of Audits in GAO’s Forensic Audits and Investigative Service told Federal Drive with Tom Temin the experience led to a new blueprint for how ATF regulates online firearms sales.
