Contractors have been working for years to have the Defense Department cut back on its use of lowest-price, technically acceptable bid evaluation criteria. So-called LPTA has been the subject of clauses in the last three Defense authorization bills. But the government has yet to draft the rule to comply with the 2019 law. Procurement attorney Joe Petrillo of Petrillo and Powell joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin to discuss.
