The D.C. tech industry has struggled to find its voice on issues affecting business and area values, but a recently-founded coalition seeks to turn the tide.
In this EXTRA episode, What’s Working in Washington spoke with the leaders of the Capital Tech Coalition: Dan Berger, Rosy Khalife, and Josh Szmajda. The three entrepreneurs originally worked together on the Coalition in response to the Trump administration’s recent attempts at a travel and immigration ban, but it has since expanded to tackle the needs of the business community through a lens of area values and interests.
Topics of discussion include generational gaps, the work of millennials in entrepreneurship, value-driven employment and leadership, corporate advocacy, diversity, and how D.C. provides specific opportunities for businesses to make social stances known.
