Agency leaders, lawmakers and members of the public are turning to social media to praise the hardworking federal workforce, as the nation marks Public Service Recognition Week.
When it came to Dr. Francis Collins, the director of the National Institutes of Health, that praise came in the form of song. NIH posted a video of Collins’ serenading federal employees on his guitar.
Office of Personnel Management Director Jeffrey Pon, who rolled out four proposals yesterday that would have big impacts on federal retirement, was another agency chief to thank feds for their service.
Public Service Recognition Week runs May 6-12. If you want to thank federal employees on social media, include the hashtags #PSRW or #PublicServiceRecognitionWeek, and we’ll try to include them in this gallery.
