Infrastructure of Another Kind

We’ve heard about the infrastructure investment that President-elect Obama wants to make. Former Peace Corps CIO and CFO Gopal Khanna is now CIO of the State of Minnesota, and he’s written an op-ed for Governing Magazine called “Investing in the Invisible Infrastructure.” Mr. Khanna talked to me about where those resources should go.

Update From Iraq

The latest from the Pentagon on operations in Iraq came from Army Col. Butch Kievenaar, commander of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. He told reporters about what his unit is doing and how things have changed since his unit arrived in Iraq; and answered questions from reporters.

Gimme More Money

Now may a good time to ask for a raise…or it may be a BAD time to ask for one. Meridith Levinson of CIO Magazine is writing about it in a piece called “How to Ask For a Raise During a Recession.” She shared some analysis with me about whether it’s a good time or a bad time for raises, and how to do it.
