The General Services Administration today made 220 awards under the small business set-aside portion of the One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) multiple award contract.

“We created OASIS SB to meet the growing demand for a hybrid, government-wide acquisition vehicle that maximizes opportunities for small businesses,” said Tom Sharpe, the commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service, in a statement. “We believe that the large pool of awardees will provide government with access to highly skilled small businesses through a contract that is not only cost effective, but also efficient and streamlined for easier use by federal agencies looking to purchase complex professional services.”

GSA split the 220 awards across seven size standards.

For example, Pool 1 featured 43 awardees under the $14 million size standard for companies that provide a host of services including testing laboratories, engineering services and public relations agencies.

GSA also awarded 43 companies a spot under the $35.5 million size standard in pool 3 for services such as engineering for military and aerospace equipment and weapons and engineering for marine engineering and naval architecture.

Agencies using OASIS will have to submit task orders against each of the pools separately and will receive credit toward their small business goals based on the award under each pool.

A GSA spokeswoman estimated the unrestricted portion of OASIS could be awarded as soon as April 1.

GSA released both OASIS solicitations in August.

GSA listed no total spending ceiling for either contract, though some believe it could be worth more than $10 billion over the life of the contract.

The Air Force in December committed to spending $500 million under OASIS in the first 18 months that it’s open for business.
