The Army is headed toward a Sept. 30 deadline to have a Statement of Budgetary Resources ready. Meeting that deadline is critical towards the Defense Department’s goal of achieving full audit readiness by fiscal 2017. Asif Khan, director of Financial Management and Assurance Issues at the Government Accountability Office, told In Depth with Francis Rose the Army is showing some important progress to meeting this year’s benchmark.
