House Republicans are proposing to cut $32 billion dollars from agency budgets over the next few months. They want to do it by capping discretionary budget authority for 2011 at just over $1 trillion dollars. This is one of many ideas floating around to reduce the deficit. To find out how these proposals would affect your agency, we asked Jim Horney, director of federal fiscal policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
