A sustained cyber attack has forced the French finance ministry to shut down 10,000 government computers.

A sustained cyber attack has forced the French finance ministry to shut down 10,000 government computers.

The attacks came from internet addresses in China, and were targeting information on the Group of 20 (G20), Associated Press reports.

The French budget minister called the attacks “spectacular,” and said an investigation is underway by the military’s counter-espionage unit.

France leads the G-20 this year.
