After 70 years of the USO thanking the troops for their service, the military is now thanking the USO for its support.

Deputy Defense Secretary William Lynn and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Navy Adm. Mike Mullen helped dedicate a new exhibit at the Pentagon honoring the USO.

Defense.gov reports that during the dedication Mullen expressed his gratitude to USO president Sloan Gibson for the support the USO has provided to countless service members throughout the years.

The exhibit is located in an escalator landing on the A Ring, on the third floor of the Pentagon. It tells the story of the USO’s history and includes a decade-by-decade timeline with life-size murals, photographs and memorabilia.
