Android users, listen up: You’ve been hacked again, and this time they’ve targeted some of your favorite apps.
SC Magazine reports attackers uploaded malware-laden copies of popular apps, such as Angry Birds, over the weekend.
Google has removed the apps, but the damage was already done. More than 14,000 users have already download the infected apps.
This is just the latest in a string of attacks on Android. Antivirus firm Sophos said one possiblereason for the many attacks might be Google’s open app store model.
