Potential new leaders at the Office of Science and Technology and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration had their confirmation hearings before the Senate Commerce Committee last week. Dr. Jane Lubchenco is the nominee for NOAA Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; Dr. John Holdren is the nominee for Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President.
