Financial pundits say one of the things driving the upturn in the financial markets is positive comments from government officials. One of those officials is Lawrence Summers, Director of the White House National Economic Council. His presentation at the Brookings Institution on Friday included a discussion of the Obama administration’s economic program and the prospects for the American economy.
