Defense Secretary Robert Gates is on a tour of the military’s war colleges. On Friday he spoke at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Among the topics of discussion: what the military can learn from past experiences as it gets ready to draw down troops in Iraq. He also discussed his thoughts on the Air Force tanker contract.
