Even though the federal government has adopted a cloud-first policy, agencies are taking longer than many policymakers first thought.
Geoff Weber, a principal in KPMG’s Federal Advisory Practice, joined In Depth with Francis Rose to discuss a recent KPMG report titled “Exploring the Cloud: a Global Study of Governments’ Adoption of Cloud.”
The report found that, in general, the public sector lags behind private industry in “exploring the opportunities of cloud.” And this holds true for governments around the world, the report found.
However, the report recognized the U.S. as among the top governments globally to make progress in implementing cloud technology.
