The Federal Employees Health Benefits Program could be getting more flexible very soon.

The Office of Personnel Management is proposing some changes to some rules about the FEHBP, proposing to amend the program’s regulations to include coverage for employees’ children up to age 26 as well as for children of same-sex domestic partners.

Walton Francis, an expert on the federal health plan and author of the CHECKBOOK’s “Guide to Health Plans for Federal Employees,” discusses the changes.

Cutting data centers is proving to be a money saver for agencies across government. But some agencies are falling short of the Office of Management and Budget’s consolidation orders, according to a recent Government Accountability Office report.
