Today, we focused on the Postal Service, which is in the middle of a financial crisis, according to Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe. That’s straight from his testimony last week before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. The committee conducted a hearing called “Outside the Box: Reforming and Renewing the Postal Service” to explore options of save the Postal Service from its financial struggles. Committee Chairman Tom Carper (D-Del.) said Congress cannot save the agency through budget or service cuts.
