The Ebola crisis in West Africa and the ongoing combat operations against the Islamic State militants could hollow out the nation’s military forces. That’s according to Jim Carafano, vice president of the Kathryn and Shelby Cullom David Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at the Heritage Foundation.
