They discuss a myriad of things including socioeconomic goals, expectations when working with DISA and most importantly she shares things you need to keep in mind when meeting with the Small Business Office at her agency. Sharon Jones leads DISA’s efforts to contract with and utilize small businesses. She participates in and monitors the DISA acquisition process, and develops and monitors the disadvantaged business mentor-protege programs to ensure that small business, women owned, small disadvantaged business concerns and Historically Black Colleges, Universities, and Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI’s) receive a fair portion of DISA contract awards.
