Sometime in the next month, Elaine Duke is expected to leave her job as the Undersecretary of Management for the Department of Homeland Security.

She’s been with DHS almost from the beginning, when the Transportation Security Administration was one of 22 agencies placed under the DHS banner.

One of her most recent tasks was overseeing the first Presidential transition in the agency’s young history.

Recently, Federal News Radio’s Max Cacas sat down with Elaine Duke for an exit interview.
