The Senate Armed Services Committee is holding a hearing to investigate China’s dumping of counterfeit electronic parts into the Pentagon’s supply chain, which could put U.S. troops at risk and undercut the American economy.

The allegations surfaced Monday, when Sens. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) outlined the panel’s ongoing investigation, which described the deceptive process.
