Federal News Radio’s Francis Rose spoke with John Young, the former Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics.

Young discussed the benefits of multi-year procurements, the topic of his recent article in the Federal Times.

Multi-year procurement needs to be a part of reform discussions, Young urged.

Currently, DoD must obtain approval of multi-year procurement contracts on a program-by-program basis.
