Office of Special Counsel to probe vet discrimination

The Office of Special Counsel\'s Patrick Boulay told Jason Miller about the office\'s expanded caseload for veterans\' discrimination claims.

The Office of Special Counsel will begin in early 2011 to investigate claims of discrimination made by veterans against federal agencies.

Under the Veterans Benefits Act of 2010, signed by President Obama in October, OSC will share the caseload with the Labor Department. The goal is to figure out whether OSC should take on this casework full-time.

Patrick Boulay is the chief of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act unit at OSC. Bouley told Federal News Radio’s Jason Miller about OSC’s new requirements and what it means for veterans.
