Markle Foundation to help advance e-health records

Laura Bailyn, the new senior director health initiatives at the Markle Foundation, discusses the ways the foundation is trying to improve health IT worldwide.

The government has allotted more than $30 billion to make health IT a reality this year. And a major part of that funding will go towards electronic health records a reality at the Veterans Affairs Department.

The VA is getting help from the Markle Foundation. Laura Bailyn, the new senior director health initiatives at the Markle Foundation, says the foundation is looking at ways to advance health care information technology around the world.
