Cyber ‘militias’ appearing in cyberspace

Militias have always played a big part in wars. But now cyber militias are popping up all over cyberspace.

Militias have always played a big part in wars. But now cyber militias are popping up all over cyberspace.

Air Force Magazine reports, most of these cyber militias stemmed from local conflicts. And for the most part they’ve not been the work of nation-states. But the work of informal and loosely organized civilian groups – sometimes aided by organized crime.

And it seems these cyber militias are joining forces – making stronger more tactical forces.
