Evan D. Wolff

Evan D. Wolff, Partner, Crowell & Moring

Evan D. Wolff is a partner in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office where he helps lead the Privacy & Cybersecurity practice. His practice focuses on homeland security, privacy, and data security including chemical security regulatory compliance, SAFETY Act, corporate internal investigations, corporate compliance and governance, congressional investigations, cyber security, and environmental audits. He has significant experience in the area of infrastructure protection and a broad background in the areas of homeland security, environmental regulation and compliance, and national security. Evan also advises companies on computer network security, general security issues, investigation coordination after intrusions, data breaches, and insurance related issues. Prior to entering private practice, Evan served as an advisor to the senior leadership at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other U.S. government agencies and was involved in the development of DHS. Previously, he held the position of principal homeland security policy analyst/project manager to The MITRE Corporation. Evan has also served as general counsel and senior geospatial analyst for lsciences LLC; vice president and principal of Environmental Protection International; and senior geologist at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Harvey Rishikof is a senior counsel in Crowell & Moring’s Privacy & Cybersecurity and Government Contracts groups in Washington, D.C. His practice focuses on national security, cybersecurity, government contracts, civil and military courts, terrorism, international law, civil liberties, and the U.S. Constitution. At the leading edge of many of the interactions between the legal community and the federal government and corporations, Harvey is routinely called upon to represent the legal community at meetings and forums on national security, cybersecurity, and terrorism. Prior to joining the firm, Harvey was most recently the dean of faculty, National War College at the National Defense University, Washington, D.C. He currently serves as an outside director to CBI, Baton Rouge, LA, chairing the company’s Government Security Committee – CFIUS. Harvey is also the chair of the American Bar Association Advisory Standing Committee on Law and National Security, co-chair with Judy Miller of the ABA National Taskforce on Cyber and the law, and a lifetime member of the American Law Institute and the Council on Foreign Relations.

 

Kate M. Growley

Kate M. Growley, Associate, Crowell & Moring

Kate M. Growley is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Crowell & Moring, where she is a member of the firm’s Privacy & Cybersecurity, Government Contracts, and Commercial Litigation groups.  Kate’s practice focuses on the intersection between national security and private industry, with particular experience in cybersecurity, privacy, and their evolving legal landscape, on which she is a frequent author and speaker. In 2014, Kate co-authored an ABA Section of Criminal Justice article titled, “Industry Collaborations on Cybersecurity: Protecting Against Antitrust Violations,” which was selected as one of the “Best Articles” for the Business category, Anticompetitive Practice section at the 2015 Antitrust Writing Awards in Washington, D.C.
