When you work for the nation’s recordkeeper, how does that affect your job as the agency’s cybersecurity guru?

Leo Scanlon, director of IT security programs at the National Archives in College Park, Md., discusses the challenges of cybersecurity at an agency charged with doing records management for a collection of 13 billion documents dating back to the founding of our nation.

He also talks about the challenges of maintaining records security and integrity as the Archives launches its ground-breaking Electronic Records Archives System, which is designed to both safeguard, and make more readily available to citizens and historians alike, today’s digital government documents.
