U.K. Navy site hacked by TinKode

The BBC reports that a Romanian hacker named TinKode is behind the hack of the British Royal Navy website.

A Romanian hacker known as TinKode is the culprit behind the hacking into the British Royal Navy’s website.

The BBC reports the hacker gained access to the website on November 5 using a common attack method known as SQL injection.

The cyber crook then published user names and passwords of the Navy’s site administrators.

The Royal Navy reports it has not found malicious damage from the attack. But as a precaution ittemporarily shut down the site.

Authorities were first alerted to the attack after TinKode mentioned the hack on his Twitter stream.
