The deadline for a task force charged with reviewing detainee policies at Guantanamo Bay has been delayed by six months. This could halt the closure of GITMO which President Obama said would come in January. Retired U.S. Navy Commander Kirk Lippold is a Senior Military Fellow at Military Families United. He has met with the President and the Justice Department to discuss the closure of the detention facility.
