Microsoft is taking new steps to eradicate the Zeus botnet. The software giant has updated its Malicious Software Removal tool so that it can detect Zeus. The malware is well-known for stealing online banking credentials. But Computer World reports that security experts worry it could be used to steal corporate secrets. Last month, authorities in the US and UK arrested more than one hundred members of the largest-known Zeus gang, but the malware continues to spread.
