Find a flaw, win a prize!
If you’ve got a knack for finding software bugs, you could earn a little pin money, courtesy of Google. The company is expanding its program to pay bounties to researchers who find bugs in its products. Computerworld reports, the program started with Google’s Chrome web browser. Now it will cover bugs found on its web sites. Cash prizes range from $500 dollars to more than $3,000. By paying bounty hunters, Google hopes it will find out about security flaws before malicious hackers do. The bounties come with strict rules to prevent loss of data or disruption of service.
